Here's a very detailed 3' x 5' oval sign we recently built for a new restaurant. They plan to continue ordering these as new restaurants are opened. I'm counting on them getting easier as we reproduce the same design. This first one took a lot to time to finish. |
We like bird-of paradise flowers. So do the people that own the office complex where this salon is located. Every suite has to have a sign that includes one. This sign is 48" wide, and about 28" high. |
| How They're Made: | |
Sandblasted sign faces are most often made of HDU, or high-density urethane. This material has been proven superior to redwood in long-term exterior durability. Backgrounds are sandblasted in dramatic wood grain patterns using special jigs. Structural reinforcement is included, as required, using pressure-treated lumber. All surfaces are sealed, then finished with top-quality paints and stains designed for extended outside exposure in a variety of climates. |
| What They Cost: | |
Our cost for each project is based on $60 per square foot. This cost is for a fully finished one-sided sign, designed and finished to your specifications. Signs finished on both sides are always thicker, usually include screw-eyes or integral pressure-treated wood frames, and are generally priced at $110.00 per square foot. |
