Signs for Professionals/ Page 4 |

Here's a 3' x 5' sign we recently completed. Although the final layout seems relatively simple, our client was very anxious about this, her first business enterprise, and several drastic design revisions were required. It was important to her that the colors match the building, and also tie in with the new gold and black theme logo. The support posts are vinyl-clad pressure-treated 4x4. |
| I'm proud we were given the opportunity to build a sign for the Historical Library, now occupying the old federal building around the corner from the shop. The director, no doubt an excellent historian, provided the layout on disc. The file did not import, which allowed us to rework his design a little bit. Size is 30" x 72". | ![]() |
| How They're Made: | |
Sandblasted sign faces are most often made of HDU, or high-density urethane. This material has been proven superior to redwood in long-term exterior durability. Backgrounds are sandblasted in dramatic wood grain patterns using special jigs. Structural reinforcement is included, as required, using pressure-treated lumber. All surfaces are sealed, then finished with top-quality paints and stains designed for extended outside exposure in a variety of climates. |
| What They Cost: | |
Our cost for each project is based on $60 per square foot. This cost is for a fully finished one-sided sign, designed and finished to your specifications. Signs finished on both sides are always thicker, usually include screw-eyes or integral pressure-treated wood frames, and are generally priced at $110.00 per square foot. |
