Projects for Parks & City Governments/ page 6

The sign on the left was an interesting project. 8' wide, one of a pair shipped via truck to the Louisiana Bayou, which we did our best to recreate with artists' acrylics in the center. The other sign is 36" in diameter. Really one of a group we built for a private estate, it's easy to imagine "Miami Island" as the name of a park, and the photo looks nice on this page. Both signs are made of HDU.

How They're Made:

Sandblasted sign faces are most often made of HDU, or high-density urethane. This material has been proven superior to redwood in long-term exterior durability. Backgrounds are sandblasted in dramatic wood grain patterns using special jigs. Structural reinforcement is included, as required, using pressure-treated lumber. All surfaces are sealed, then finished with top-quality paints and stains designed for extended outside exposure in a variety of climates.

What They Cost:

Our cost for each project is based on $60 per square foot. This cost is for a fully finished one-sided sign, designed and finished to your specifications. Signs finished on both sides are always thicker, usually include  screw-eyes or integral pressure-treated wood frames, and are generally priced at $110.00 per square foot.

How to Get One:

Fax a sketch, or email a description,  describing  your requirements. Include as much information as you have, including dimensions (approximate of precise), logos or art to be included, and color preferences. We will prepare a firm price quote and fax or email  it back. There is no charge for this service.
