"Mosswood Townhomes" is actually copied from another, similar sign we built for a condominium with a palm tree instead of an oak. The windswept palm worked out better, but the photo didn't. The background is airbrushed shades of teal, the letters white, and the border deep green with a gold accent. This sign measures 30"h x 48" wide. |
Here we have a 4' x 8' Sandblasted sign face mounted to the classic "clustered piling" support structure. These structures are not difficult to build, just heavy. We can't ship them, but it shouldn't be too hard to find a local contractor to put one together. The trick is to cut flat places on the back of the longest pilings to allow for 2x4s lagged horizontally across the back. This holds the pilings square and plumb and allows fastening the sign face from the rear. |

| How They're Made: | |
Sandblasted sign faces are most often made of HDU, or high-density urethane. This material has been proven superior to redwood in long-term exterior durability. Backgrounds are sandblasted in dramatic wood grain patterns using special jigs. Structural reinforcement is included, as required, using pressure-treated lumber. All surfaces are sealed, then finished with top-quality paints and stains designed for extended outside exposure in a variety of climates. |
| What They Cost: | |
Our cost for each project is based on $60 per square foot. This cost is for a fully finished one-sided sign, designed and finished to your specifications. Signs finished on both sides are always thicker, usually include screw-eyes or integral pressure-treated wood frames, and are generally priced at $110.00 per square foot. |
