The "Virginia State Police" sign is about 6' wide, and is finished on both sides. It's built with sandblasted HDU sign faces on each side of a pressure-treated wood frame. The edges are filled and sealed. The finished sign appears to be a solid, 3.5" thick, block. Double-sided signs cost almost, but not quite as much as, two single-sided signs.
The "Humboldt Fire District" sign is much smaller. One of the firemen had already created a somewhat impractical design. The challenge here was to make that vision into a sandblasted sign. I think we created something they'll be pleased with for years to come.
