P5/Signpost - assembly instructions

What you'll need: a big straight screwdriver, post hole diggers and a level (optional)

Step 1 Step 2 Step 3

Unpack posts and lay them face down (bolts are on the back) near where the sign is to be installed. Remove the four bolts nearest the post tops.

Look for marks close to bolt holes on sign and post indicating right or left, then spread the posts apart and align them so the sign can be laid face down between them.

Move the posts around so that holes in sign support structure line up with those in posts. Reinstall 4 bolts and tighten securely.

Steps 4 & 5

Position the assembly where it is to be installed, face down just in front of the desired location. Dig a hole in line with each post bottom. Use your judgment as to minimum depth; 24" is the maximum.
Loosen the two bolts nearest the bottom of each post. Slide the "ground supports" out a distance to match the depth of each hole, then retighten the bolts.

Step 6

Lifting from the sign face bottom, drag assembly so "ground support" bottoms are aligned with hole edges. Lift and tip assembly up and allow "ground supports" to slide into holes. With "ground supports" firmly in hole bottoms, check for level left to right. If one side is high, loosen lower bolts on that side and allow post to slide down "ground support" until sign appears level.

Step 7

Holding sign plumb front to back, pack dirt (or, for a permanent installation, cement) into holes around "ground supports"
