About Natural Wood Signs |
Our business began in Cocoa, Florida, on the east central coast. Cocoa is a small town, at the center of "Florida's Space Coast". The weather is mild and there's a tremendous amount of water: the ocean, rivers & lakes, all around. |

Cocoa was founded around the turn of the century, and has a wonderful old downtown on the intracoastal waterway. Commerce passed this area by in favor of the strip stores and malls for many years. Rents there were low, which allowed me to open my own business, in 1978, in the front of one of the oldest buildings in town. A long, narrow, wood-frame structure facing the Indian River. |
With interests in woodworking and graphic arts, the specialty soon became wood signs. Before long we occupied the entire old building and, over the years, repeatedly remodeled to squeeze out every inch of useful space. "Cocoa Village" became more and more the "happening spot", better suited to restaurants and art studios than sandblasting and routing. Finally, in 2004, we grudgingly left the riverfront with the old oaks and built a much larger headquarters and production facility in an industrial area of Rockledge, an adjacent town. |
We've been in business steadily for over 27 years, as routed and sandblasted sign specialists, and enjoy a good reputation among many local customers, for both residential and commercial signs. Though not really internet pioneers, we began marketing online sooner than many, and have accumulated much valuable experience in the special customer service required. Our signs, both large & small, have been shipped to just about every part of the country. |
I believe our combination of modern equipment, old-fashioned craftsmanship, and experience combine to produce a product (in the case of sandblasted residential signs) entirely unique, especially at the prices we charge. I'm sure that, if you have us make a sign for you, you will agree. |

* The photo at the top is no longer the view out the front window. Now I'm looking at an auto body shop across the road. We do have a lot more space, and a huge concrete parking lot. So much time is not being spent moving signs back and forth, and arranging rendezvous with delivery trucks; we can make better signs at a more reasonable price than ever! |
